步步惊心 2 CH.3 [FanFiction]

Dinner time with my parents was silent and we had nothing to talk about.
"Xiao Xiao, How's your health ?" My dad asked.
"It's fine dad."
"That's good then." Silence.
"The doctor called earlier and asked you to go back in for a check-up in 4 days." My mom said.
"Oh, okay then." Silence again. "My professor at school... Chose me to go to a Jewelry Convention with her. Can I go ?"
My dad reached over and patted my hand softly. "Xiao Xiao, how many times do I have to tell you ? Huh ? You're no longer a child now. It's your decisions whether you go or not, but just realize. If anything goes wrong, we won't be responsible. It was your choice, you knew what you were doing and what you were getting yourself into. Yes ?" I smiled and walked over to hug my dad.
"Thanks so much daddy !" Dad laughed and patted my arm softly as my mom smiled.

Two days passed and I was in my Professor's car ready to leave.
"Zhang Xiao, Let me tell you something okay ? Once we get there, we must be really polite and mannered. Looking at how you presented yourself to me after returning from your accident, it... You should tone down a bit."
"Oh, I'm sorry then." She just laughed.
"Dumb child, I admire the fact you can talk so openly though." I just smiled and looked to my teacher.
"Professor Li, I wanted to ask. Do you know anyone at the convention ?"
"Of course ! Why would I go if I wasn't invited by a friend ?" I just sat there quietly and watched the road go past us as we drove by. There was a heavy feeling crawling up on my spine, I had a feeling that things weren't going to go so well.
We arrived at the ballroom known as The Peninsula a couple minutes later. We both got out of the car and walked towards the entrance. Showing our badges to the security guards, we walked in and found ourselves seats within a few moments. I looked at Professor Li and asked,"From all the students in the school, why did you choose me ?"
She simply smiled and said,"Well... Your Magnolia Hairpin got to me. From all my years of teaching, it's rare to actually see a piece of jewelry with heart and passion like yours. Seeing how much thought you put into the drawing and even the history behind it gave it some life. Why did you choose the 4th Son of Kangxi ? There was many Prince's for you to choose from you know."
That question struck me, how was I supposed to answer that ? Tell her that I'm the girl in the painting back in the Museum ? Or tell her my whole life story hoping she won't think I'm nuts ? Either way, I wasn't prepared for this question. "I just feel that he was a good Emperor too. His son Qianlong took the throne after Yong Zheng passed away. He was an outstanding Emperor, but without the teachings of his father in the first place, he wouldn't have been so good at what he was doing. Don't you think so ?" Professor Li nodded.
"Zhang Xiao, is your minor History ?"
I smiled and shook my head,"It's not. I'm only majoring in Jewelry Design."
"Oh, you know your history too well to only have one major then." I just sat there and smiled to myself.
After a couple moments of people running around, going in and out, the microphone on stage came to a sound.
"Test, test... 1,2.. 1,2... Hello everyone ! Thank you all and welcome to Chow Tai Fook's Convention !" The host on stage was a pretty young man with tons of energy. He doesn't look too bad looking, and he was pretty tall.
Chow Tai Fook was the most famous jewelry makers in China; 117 stores, and 1,700 outlets. By 2016, they're predicted to have 2,000 stores. This was where most of the students at Meng Dai Hai's Jewelry College wanted to be hired into. It wouldn't be wrong to join their company.
"I'm Hu Xiao Fu and will be your MC for the evening. Today, we will be showing many different sets of jewelry from different companies to show what kind of work they have been doing for the past 10 years. And don't be to ready to leave yet ! Mr. Huang, the owner of Chow Fai Fook, as decided to auction a piece of his own Collection, Love Spell ! Please welcome Mr. Huang up here to show us his Love Spell Collection !"
Everyone began to clap and the young MC stepped aside to the Stage. Just then my phone began to ring, looking at the ID it displayed Huang Di. What does this guy want ? Looking to Professor Li, I smiled and she gestured for me to take it. I left nervously outside and took the call.
"Hello ?"
"Hello ? Xiao Xiao ! Are you feeling better now ? I've been trying to reach you but-"
I cut him off,"What do you want ? I have nothing to say to you anymore."
"But I still do. The whole situation with Xiao Mei, I can explain it to you Xiao Xiao. I just need you to listen to me one last time."
"You listen to me. Xiao Mei and your affairs, has nothing to do with me anymore. You guys can go off and do whatever you want. The sooner you move on the sooner you'll be done with everything. Don't keep  counting on me to come back. I'm not mad, neither am I upset. Right now, I have more things to deal with than you." I hung up the phone and took a deep breathe. What exactly was this guy thinking ?
I climbed back up the stairs to return inside the building, as my eyes was above the steps... 14th Prince... He was standing on the stage wearing a suit that fit him so well. He had a huge smile on his face, was he the owner of Chow Tai Fook ?
I couldn't understand this. I thought back to 4th Prince in the museum, I thought I was never going to see that face again. Just like that feeling, I never thought I was going to see 14th Prince again. One more time, my vision came to a blur, my heart beated as it was a Taiko Drum, I couldn't believe my eyes; it really was 14th Prince.
I lost grip of my phone that instant, not bothering to pick it up. I had more on my mind to worry about other than my phone that's probably in bad shape now. My eyes were completely over flooded and I can barely see anymore.
"Miss, you dropped your phone." My phone suddenly appeared by my side so I turned to grab it after quickly wiping the sweat from my eyes.
8th Prince ? Why.... I can't understand any of this... Why is this happening to me again ? What does fate really have in store for me now ?
I just looked at him as I fought my tears back, I really couldn't believe that it was happening all over again.
The look on his face was obvious that he was anxious, and worried both at once. Digging into his pocket, he took out a handkerchief then held it out in front of me. "Don't cry anymore, there's a handful of people here."
I still remember the first time he said that to me. I was still living in his manor with Jie Jie; I remember Qiao Hui dressed me in so many layers of clothes to welcome 8th Prince back that it became so hot and stuffy I began to wipe my sweat on my sleeve. He came and also offered me a handkerchief and in the same caring, soft voice, he told me not to cry.
I just looked at him in complete shock. I really couldn't believe what I was seeing. If this is what's planned for all of us, then wouldn't the heavens be too cruel ? No matter how I tried to register the information into my head, I couldn't do it. I knew they were nothing like 4th Prince, 14th Prince, or 8th Prince. I knew it, but my chest hurt like I was poisoned.
He took the handkerchief back and stuffed it in his pocket after noticing that I wasn't going to take it even if he held it there for a whole day.
"Miss, are you okay ?" I tried to pull myself together to give him an answer, but I still had to swallow the tears that were streaming out. I gave him a weak and forced smile; he smiled to me and took out the handkerchief again.
That smile was so familiar although I knew the one giving it to me was not 8th Prince, or was it ? Does he still remember me ?
I took the handkerchief and quickly wiped my tears, he stood there still smiling. Then I looked at him and cleared my throat. "Sorry, I'll return your handkerchief back  to you sometime."
He smiled again,"No need to trouble yourself, you can keep it. May I ask for the reason why you're crying ?" I was not ready to answer this question. Would you believe me if I told you ? 300 years ago, 8th Prince was in love with me... Now, we were complete strangers. Just like me and 4th Prince, he didn't even recognize me. Am I going to meet him again too then ?
"My... Boyfriend and I broke up recently. And... He just gave me a call to try and clear things up." He looked at me with such a pitied look.
"Mind letting me know ?"
"I don't know, I'm sure he had his reasons. I probably lacked something he was looking for and found it somewhere else." He once again smiled so softly, just like 8th Prince, he seemed so virtuous and easy going.
"Don't think too much. It's not good for your head. You should quickly go inside before all the seats are taken." I watched him walk in and just continued to stand outside. Am I ready to go inside only to face my past companions again ? Am I ready to face the fact that I'm no longer Maertai Ruoxi... He's no longer 8th Prince... The man in the museum is no longer 4th Prince... And the one on stage is not 14th Prince... ?
Professor Li came out only to find my eyes red and puffy behind the thick glasses. She walked over and looked at me worryingly.
"Zhang Xiao, Are you okay ? Why are your eyes so red ? Did you just cry ?" I said nothing, but smiled to her and nodded my head motioning that I was okay. She put her arm around me and said,"Let's go inside. Sitting out here and crying isn't all that good for you, okay ?" I nodded and took a deep breath before going in. Whatever was waiting inside for me, I knew I had to face it; it was the truth now, and I couldn't run from it.
My teacher took my hand and led me back inside the ballroom which was already packed with people in Tuxedos and Glamorous dresses. I tried to avoid looking up at the stage, but when the familiar voice came on, I couldn't help myself but to look up. It really was 14th Prince; his face, his smile... And his eyes... Everything was still the same.
"Hello and Good morning to everyone. I'm Huang Ke Yi. I'm sorry for having you all wait for such a long time. My father wasn't able to make it due to illness, so he sent me here instead so please forgive his absence today. Chow Tai Fook was founded in 1929 by my Great Grandfather, Huang Ri Bei. He managed the company in Hong Kong and spread it worldwide by the 1960s. He passed away unfortunately shortly after and the company was passed on to my Grandfather Huang Deng He. On 2003 March 7th, he also passed away handing the company over to my father, Huang Da Men who personally designed and made the Love Spell Collection by hand. This collection was made in remembrance to the first time he met my mother. He said it was like she put a love spell on him. This collection consists of a necklace, a bracelet, a ring, and a pair of earrings. The stone he used was the red ruby. The chains of each piece is made of nothing else, but pure gold itself.  I hope that we will all cooperate and get along just fine as though he was here. I also hope that we will be able to entertain you with the schedule we have planned for you all today. Thank You."
Everyone in the room began to clap and a younger girl came on stage to hand him the so called Love Spell Collection. That girl... Who is she ? I can almost recognize her... Why does she look so familiar... ?
When she turned to face the crowd to do a simple bow... My face was once again still... I looked away quickly, then turned back to look at the girl standing next to 14th Prince just to make sure what I saw was correct... Princess Min Min ?
I couldn't stay here anymore. If I was to stay and maybe even be reunited with more people, I wouldn't be able to stand it. I got up from the seat I was sitting in and began to rush to the door. Professor Li came after me and pulled me aside when she caught up.
"Student Zhang ! Where are you going ? Are you okay ?"
I tried to reply in a calm voice,"I'm sorry Professor. I... I really... I just remembered something... My parents... They... They want me to-"
"Zhang Xiao, You told me that your parents allowed you to come. Why can't you stay inside with me ?"
"There's things... Inside there that I can't stand to see... It's like... Everything is going to happen again."
Professor Li looked confused "Zhang Xiao, you don't feel comfortable in there or something ? What's going to happen again ?"
"I'm sorry Professor. I'll just... Take my leave now before anything else happens. I'm sorry."

步步惊心 2 CH.2 [FanFiction]

Approaching the school gates reminded me of when I first awoke in Eighth Prince's Manor; It didn't feel familiar, nor did I feel comfortable.
I entered my classroom and the first thing I noticed was all the letters and notes sitting on my desk. Surprisingly, I still knew where I sat before. Everyone's heads were turned towards me. To them, I've only been gone for a week at the most, but to me I haven't been here for centuries.
I finally cracked a little smile and everyone clapped and cheered for me. I let out a little laugh and walked over to my seat as I was bombarded by classmates asking me how I was, where I went, if i felt better, what happened, did it hurt. I slowly answered all their questions and as they began to leave, I thought of Yu Tan, I thought of Qiao Hui, Eunuch Wang, and all the other servants who I once worked alongside with. I thought of how they all used to come running to me too when something happened.
Then someone approached me and hugged as though I knew who that person was.
"Aiyo ! Zhang Xiao ! You've been gone for so long !" She pulled away and I took a long time to study her face. She was one of my friends here at school, but I couldn't remember her name. It has been such a long time for me that I forgot most the modern people's names. She shot me a look,"Zhang Xiao ? You can't remember me ? I'm Chen Bi Yu, your friend. Remember ?" I continued to look at her. She let out a sigh.
"Don't tell me the accident caused you brain damage. Xiao Xiao ah, I'm Bi Yu. You have to remember me. You can't just forget me like that. I came to see you at the hospital, but the doctor said you were in a deep coma. I didn't realize it was this deep."
Chen Bi Yu ? Sounds familiar, but I can't quite make out who she was, so I went along with it. I grabbed her hands softly.
"Bi Yu, I was just so happy that I was able to come back here and be with all you guys again." I lied. if I can choose to be anywhere, I would choose to be back in 4th Prince's arms, I would choose to go back and be Maertai Ruoxi the head tea servant, I would go back to the carefree 16 year old I used to be.
Bi Yu's smile came quick and wrapped her arms around me again. "Xiao Xiao, I'm so glad you're back now ! I missed you so much !" I said nothing, but simply hugged her too.
The teacher came in and also welcomed me back, then went straight into her lessons about the keys to making jewelry look attractive. She began by sketching out a blue print with our suggestions of decor then eventually had us all design a piece of jewelry for anywhere and anything. I started to think of 4th Prince's gentleness towards me and the way he protected me against the arrow that day at his manor. I also thought of when I asked him to marry me and that thought brought a smile to my face. How did I make such a silly move to just to be rejected within the next few seconds. Moments later, I picked up my drawing and a very familiar item was drawn neatly and beautifully on paper; 4th Prince's Magnolia Hairpin. I examined the picture, I even included the smallest details in it. My heart began to ache again. Bi Yu snatched the drawing from me and studied it. Her face cringed up in a disgusted look.
"What is this ? Some kind of hairpin ?" I nodded. "Oh..." She had a helpless expression.
"It's a Magnolia Hairpin."
"Magnolia ? Since when did you like Magnolia... And hairpins ?" She let out a little laughter.
"Every drawing needs some kind of inspiration and a story for it to be drawn out, only then can it be considered true." Bi Yu looked at me in a confused manner then a smile appeared on her face.
"Xiao Xiao ah, you speak so weird now." I looked to her and smiled.
"Really ?" She nodded. I took my paper back and examined it again.

4th Prince, if I was to return to the Qing Dynasty again, what would we be doing now ? Drinking tea as you look over some documents, or discussing some imperial matters as we stroll in the garden ?

Professor Li came by and picked up my drawing. "This is... A Hairpin ?"
"Magnolia Hairpin." I replied. I felt like if she was going to question me, I was ready to answer against anything.
"Student Zhang, can you please tell me why you chose to draw a Magnolia Hairpin from pearl necklaces ? And diamond bracelets ? Why didn't you draw those instead ?"
"Everything has a meaning behind it. Every artist draws from inner feelings and imaginations."
"You were thinking of Magnolias while drawing ?"
"Actually, I thought back to the Qing Dynasty. Kang Xi's Fourth son YinZhen took the throne after Kang Xi passed away, and YinZhen was renamed Yong Zheng. This was his favorite flower, the Magnolia flower."
Professor Li looked surprised, but impressed. "You admire history ?"
"Of course."
"I think diamonds will be the best gem for this hairpin. It'll add a glistening effect to it."
"Diamond is not bad, but I prefer Jade."
"Jade ? Why ?"
"Jade was rare and precious back in the Qing Dynasty. It also symbolizes love, power, desire, and courage. Yong Zheng had an undying love for his younger brother YinXiang, although he was not his real blood brother. Prince Yin Xiang was often bullied at a young age because of his mother's death; Consort De, who was also 4th and 14th Prince's mother was assigned to watch after 13th Prince, thus their brotherhood began. Many people feared his power and rule because he was truly powerful and strong just like an emperor should be. Besiddes him, I don't think any other Prince was more fit for this position. He only desired nothing, but the throne and one day to follow in his father's footsteps to become the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty. He also had more courage than one can ever imagine. This is why I chose Jade to represent Emperor Yong Zheng's favorite flower."
She nodded impressively and held up my drawing to the class. "Fellow students, I want everyone to please take a look at Zhang Xiao's drawing. It has a hint of simpleness, along with history, but is also lovely at the same time. Simple should be everyone's goal. Although it's not something too eye catchy, the meaning behind it is beautiful and is a good way to bargain. Don't ever overdo a design or your jewelry will turn out looking like nothing, but a pile of dung." She turned to me,"You put a lot of thought into this didn't you ? See me after class, I have an offer to make you. You'll like it, I promise." She set the picture back down and smiled at me approvingly, then moved on to another student's drawing.
Bi Yu turned to look at me again, so I looked at her too. She sent me a sheepish smile which I did not understand.
"What's wrong ?" I asked her. She shook her head.
"Nothing, it's just... I'm going to create something simple too now. I originally thought that adding many effects will make it more likable " She erased her paper clean and began to draw again. I just smiled and looked back down at my drawing.

4th Prince... Have you forgiven me yet ?

After school I remained seated in my desk. Everyone began to leave one by one, but Bi Yu was still seated next to me.
"Zhang Xiao, you're not leaving for home yet ?" I shook my head.
"Not yet, Professor said she wants a word with me first." Bi Yu nodded. I got up from my seat and walked over to Professor Li's desk. She looked up at me and smiled.
"Zhang Xiao, I know you just recovered from your accident recently. It's your first day here again, how are you feeling ? Better ?"
"I feel better than before Professor."
"Good then. I have something to offer you if it's not too soon for you. I know you just got back, but after hearing and seeing how much thought and time you took in that drawing, you made me suspect that you might be the one for this."
    I was surprised,"For what ?"
"It's a jewelry convention. It's when all the jewelry companies come together and meet up.... I would rather say brag though. They brag to one another and they also become friends and get partnerships. The President and Manager of Chow Tai Fook has been contacting our school. They said they're willing to take in one or two students for experience."
"What does this have to do with me ?"
"Are you willing to be the chosen student ?"
Those words sent a chill up my spine. I was shocked, but happy at the same time. "Me ?" Professor nodded. I thought for a while longer.
    "When is this convention ?"
    "In 2 days."
Two days...
"I appreciate the fact that you asked me first, but can you make time for me to ask my parents ? I want them to know before agreeing."
"Zhang Xiao, as long as you can get back to me on the day of the event. I only have two passes so hurry."
    "Thank You Professor."
I headed straight to a supermarket to look for loose tea leaves. Those tea bags won't cut it for me, I liked the fresh taste of the tea leaves. I liked the feeling of a new beginning, or the feeling of being cleaned. Tea bags weren't bitter enough, and didn't have that taste I was used to.
I entered the market and began to search all over for loose tea leaves. It was nowhere in sight, so I asked a worker that was nearby.
"Excuse me, do you guys happen to have any loose tea leaves here ?"
"Loose tea leaf ? Uh..." The young man looked confused then took his leave and told me he'll return shortly. I waited and waited and imagined the taste of brewed tea again. I thought of how the tea felt against my tongue, and in my mouth. How it overwhelms me with the feeling of pleasure, calmness, and peace. He came back and told me they don't carry loose tea leaves in the market.
"No loose tea leaves ? How is that possible ?"
"I'm sorry miss. My manager and I searched the entire store and we don't carry it at all."
I nodded and left the store. I also visited dozens and dozens of stores, just the same way, no one carried loose tea leaves.
I got in my car and turned on the engine; I sat there and thought continuously to myself: Why doesn't anyone carry loose tea leaves ? Why is it so hard to find now ? It was the most precious leaves in back then, why aren't any in the modern world ? I thought and thought, then finally, it came to me. Old Beijing. They have to have it in Old Beijing.
Old Beijing looked the same way it did when I was Maertai Ruoxi and tried to throw myself in front of 4th and 13th Prince's horses in an attempt to come back here. The buildings really aged by this time and there were more vendors than it did on the streets back then. The red lanterns still hang on the lines above, connecting from house to house. The inns that were once owned by some of the best cooks in town were now transformed into more modernized restaurants.
I got the chance to peek inside one of the restaurants and it was too different. The store was lined with red cloth and the squared tables were changed to round tables. The chairs became individual instead of one long bench and the workers were dressed in modern clothes; they were no longer in ancient dresses and wearing a fancy head gear of some sort. There was now menus; the only thing left original was the exterior part of the store, It still had it's old gray color to it.
I walked into a little shop and found myself some Jasmine and Pu Er Loose Tea Leaves. Satisfied, I also bought a couple new clay teapots. Brewing Loose tea leaves in a different pot will have a different outcome and since I was used to clay pots, I'd rather stick to that instead.
I got home and brewed the tea leaves immediately. While it was on the stove, I went to my room to change out of my clothes. I took out the picture of 4th Prince's Magnolia Hairpin and studied it. When I close my eyes, I can almost smell the cherry blossoms of the palace, and I can almost feel those awfully high shoes again. If I was to return again, would I feel happier ? Is there any way I can return ?
Thinking about how to get back to the past, suddenly made me think of when I was dying to return to the future. The passion I had back then to come back, was the same passion I had now to return again.
The tea was as I expected; it was calming, and peaceful. After the first gulp of tea, I was brought back to the days where I was still sitting on my bed in 8th Prince's Manor asking my servant Qiao Hui to pour me more and more tea. I miss her, I miss 8th Prince, I miss Yu Tan, Kang Xi, 13th Prince, 14th Prince, 10th Prince, Jie Jie, and my 4th Prince. The one that originally took my soul away, did he refuse to return it back to me ?

步步惊心 2 CH. 1 [FanFiction]

After asking me if we knew eachother, he walked right past me like nothing had ever happened between us. My eyes followed his movements causing my body to turn and follow as he got further and further away.

4th Prince, is it really you ?

The scar was opening bigger and bigger; the pieces of my shattered heart that I tried so hard to hold on to was falling apart. I slowly took off my glasses, and watched as my view came to nothing, but a blur. Tears fell one after another, unable to stop. I think he turned back to at least take one glance at me, but I couldn't tell from the blurriness; I did see the outline of his body move out of sight though. Just as he disappeared, I clenched my chest tightly. I was no longer Maertai Ruoxi, but my heart ached as much as it did when I was her. Putting on my glasses again, I turned to look at the tea set and the people in the painting, which I was once knew so well. I look at Maertai Ruoxi in the picture pouring tea for the Princes, I did exist; it wasn't a dream. Thousands of questions flooded my mind: why wasn't I in any record ? Books ? Where was the name "Maertai Ruoxi" in 14th Prince's FuJin list ? Why aren't I noted down as head tea server for the Emperor ? I couldn't understand why, but none of these questions can be answered. I remained there a while longer just to take another look at the items again.
"I'm Zhang Xiao now, not Maertai Ruoxi." I said to myself softly before leaving the museum. Was I now lying about that too ? I couldn't tell.
Later that night just before getting to bed, my phone rang. The screen displayed a name that used to make my heart skip a beat whenever I saw it, Huang Di. Ignoring the call, I wondered into my thoughts again. Maertai Ruoxi's history, what happened to it ? If 4th Prince was present, then wouldn't that mean the other Princes are also here too ? What does fate have in store for us once again ? It rang a second time so I powered it down and called it a night.
Before I knew it, I was back in the Forbidden City, back in 4th Prince's arms, telling him that I wasn't really Maertai Ruoxi; I was really Zhang Xiao from a another time, and I was afraid that I'll have to leave against my will one day, just like how I originally got there.
With that last sentence, I awoke with a quick shock to my body. It was the first time I dreamed of 4th Prince since returning. I sat up searching for my glasses by the lamp stand and quickly looked at the clock, 6:31 it displayed. The light outside was leaking through the bottom of the door into my room. I figured it was Mom getting ready to leave for her job. As I hesitated to stand up, my door creaked and she entered. Seeing that I was already awake, she said, "Xiao Xiao, you're already awake ?" I nodded so slowly that it seemed as if I had no reaction at all.
"Huang Di called last night and demanded to talk to you, but I told him you were sleeping already. He said that he tried to call your phone countless times, but you refused to pick up." She looked me over and sat down next to me; she put an arm around me and said,"Xiao Xiao ah, Huang Di was a nice guy. But what is a man worth once he underestimates a woman's power and has an affair ? I'm telling you, he wasn't even all that good looking. My cute daughter was too good for him anyways. You being with him just brings you down. Hmm ?"
"Mom, about me and Huang Di, I even don't think of him anymore. Don't worry about us anymore." My mom gave me a worried look.
"It's only been a week. Missing an ex-boyfriend right after a break up is understandable you know." She asked as though she was so sure I missed that bastard. But in reality, I had to deal with a situation I wasn't sure if I'll ever forget. "I don't anymore. I got over it a long time ago."
     "A long time ago ?"
"There are things that If you're able to let go, just let them go. The earlier you realize it, the sooner you're free." My mom was silent for a second, then a sheepish smile came up.
"Xiao Xiao, what happened to you ?" Her smile widened and her eyes began to squint. "Is it after that accident you became more aware and more cautious ? You're all of a sudden much more mature. Maybe that accident sent some shock waves of maturity into your brain !" She softly hit the side of my head as a way to tease me. Yes, shock waves did actually get to me, but brought me into the past instead. The thought of Jie Jie saying that I have gotten mature after being pushed down the stairs flooded my mind. Images of us eating together every morning, discussing and training for the concubine selections, even sounds a bit sweet now. Without a word, I managed a little smile and my mom gave me an embrace.
"My little angel, remember that I will never let anything hurt you. Not even that devil Huang Di."
I thought to myself, even if I spent my whole lifetime trying to explain why I was in this state to my mother, it won't matter. Who would believe a 25 year old woman that speaks of going back to the Qing Dynasty and falling in love with Yong Zheng the emperor. Wouldn't everyone think I'm crazy, mad maybe ?
My mom left to work after our talk and I continued to sit there as still as before. What was she thinking ? Why did she think that I love Huang Di still ?
I got up at last to prepare for school, A jewelry business school. I've been hospitalized for a week or longer, maybe Professor Li and my friends are looking for me now. I wonder if anyone even noticed I was gone.
I walked into the kitchen where the smell of my mom's coffee was in the atmosphere. I have only drank tea for so long, that I eventually forgot how coffee tasted. All I remember is that it should have a good taste to it because I seem to like it when I was still here; it was something that can make me refreshed and make me feel ready for the day, so it shouldn't hurt to drink a cup again. I took a mug and poured myself some coffee, mixed in the extra stuff and took a sip. Coffee ? I don't remember it like this. I suddenly thought back to the tea that I use to serve for the Emperor, I thought of how it's bitterness eventually became a taste I favored. Coffee was bitter too, but it wasn't tea. The liquid was too thick and it made my stomach feel weird. I poured the coffee down the drain and began to search around the cabinets for tea.
I found some LongJing tea bags and decided to give it a try. I'm going to be dissatisfied, I thought to myself, there's no freshness in this tea anymore. After 10 minutes, I tried the tea. I was right, there was no feelings of freshness in it. I realized that the tea made in the modern days, can never compare to those of ancient days. I also poured the tea down the drain and headed out to school.

*This... Is my way of beginning ! I hope you guys enjoyed that because it took me such a long, long, long, time to come up with the whole plot of the story and it took a lot of brainstorming to finally choose that they were going to be split into 3 separate companies. Sorry If you didn't like it, please leave comments and teach me how to improve if needed :). xD Haha Tell me what you guys think of it :) 谢谢 :)

步步惊心 2 [FanFiction]

*If you follow my other blog I do about Dramas and music, then you probably know that I have a

HUGE obsession with 步步惊心 ! :D Haha I have like... 10,000 post just about that drama :)

There will be a sequel on 步步惊, called 步步惊情 (Bu Bu Jing QING)... But I'm not really looking forward to it... As you guys know, I'm in love with 14th Prince... I will still willing to watch it if at least the majority of the Male cast was still in it... And no Twin Sister of Zhang Xiao was added... *Wheere did she come from ?!* Anyways, the sequel is set to air in November... The only REAL cast that remains are: Liu Shi Shi (Maertai RuoXi), Nicky Wu (4th), Damien Lau (KangXi), Annie Liu (Maertai Ruo Lan), Ye Qing (Yu Tan), Ye Zu Xin (10th), and maybe Xiao Qun (Ming Hui)... And yeah... That's all. Yuan Hong (13th) and Kvein Cheung (8th) will not return due to filming another series, Hua Xu Yin, starring Wallace Huo. Lin Geng Xin (14th) however... is currently on a freeze due to disputes with his damn stupid company. They recruited for him to come and play in the drama, but he refused to as a way of rebelling... *步步惊心 comes to reality x)* Aha xD Me and my imaginations xD The sequel was said to be set in modern days... And Zhang Xiao, who is played by Liu Shi Shi, will remember not a thing of the Qing Dynasty -.- Mhm ! Interesting right ? ? Hahahaha- NO ! Well yup !

And this is where I come in... I'm sitting there pouting to my Mom about how much I dislike the new 步步惊心 because they found new people to replace each Prince that cannot be present. Yupppp... I also got my mom addicted to 步步惊心, and she's in love with 4th Prince, she tells me everyday how she cannot wait for the sequel to air.... Well anyways, I was wondering on the internet and came across a 步步惊心 2 Fanfiction :) There's already 9 Chapters up and I LOVE it ! :D I think it's so nice and it really does make a lot of sense and goes really well with 步步惊心. So after reading so much of it, I became obsessed again -.- .... And I just had to start my own Fanfic and how I want it to go although the other one is going so well already ! :D

If anyone is intersted in reading that 步步惊心 2 Fanfic I'm talking about, here is the link to her blog :) Please support her because her story is really worth reading !
http://chenguangsorchard.blogspot.com/

She inspired me to start my own Fanfic too :) My story will be really different from hers though, so don't say I copied...

步步惊心 2 Fanfiction Plot

Here goes nothing you guys :) My version of the FanFic of course will be set in the modern days of Zhang Xiao. She is in a constant battle between herself and the thoughts of Maertai Ruoxi as she says that it was only a beautiful dream of the past and tries to move on. As she does, she once again runs into all her old companions and history will eventually repeat itself as Zhang Xiao tries to prevent everything. The only difference for her now, is that she once knew everyone's ending; now she knows nothing of tomorrow and has no knowledge of the future to for tell anything.
-Zhang Xiao is currently living at home with her parents as she attends a Jewelry School which teaches her how to make Jewelry. She recreates 4th Prince's Magnolia Hairpin and is invited to go on a trip with her teacher to a convention where all the big companies in China will come together and show off and maybe even create partnerships.

What Zhang Xiao doesn't know:

Zhang Xiao has no idea that she is about to be reunited with her past companions and she really has no idea what fate has for all them that allowed them to meet again.

Who Are The Casts ? :

*It took me a whole day to come up with the casts so i hope it really does entice you guys to want to read more. In my fanfiction, I will split everything up into 3 separate companies. Meaning that I will split up all the casts, including the girls, into different groups that will eventually go head to head against each other. I will now introduce the 3 different companies.

Chow Tai Fuk Jewelry Inc.:
President/Founder : Huang Da Men (Kang Xi)
VP: TBA

Treasurer: TBA
Sales Manager: Wei Yi Tian (Princess Min Min)
Heir: Huang Ke Yi (14th Prince)(Son of Huang Da Men)
Other Workers: Xu Hu Nian (Eunuch Wang)(Son of Xu Hu Yi)

Xing Guang Jewelry Inc.:
President: Lin Nu Kai (4th Prince)
VP: Shang Huai Yu (2nd Prince)
Secretary: Jiang Te Xin (Guoluoluo Ming Hui)

Sales Manager: He Bin Xi (Lu Wu)
Other Workers: Ke Gu Hua (Yu Tan), Yi Wu Shu (1st Prince)

Tanix Jewelry Inc.:

Recruiter: Tang You Yue (10th Prince)
Sales Manager: Hu Xiao An (Maertai Ruo Lan)

In all of China, Chow Tai Fuk is the most rich, and popular design, and has the biggest name so just being able to work with them will boost a company's reputation up pretty high. Zhang Xiao will be recruited into Chow Tai Fuk to learn under Huang Da Men's guidance and eventually help take over his company as he sees the potential in her designs. Chow Tai Fuk is also willing to take ONE company in consideration for partnership, and because it's the most wanted company, Xing Guang Jewelry and Tanix Jewelry will go head to head to compete for the partnership. As this happens, trust is destroyed, friends are eliminated, betrayals come in to play, corruption, and loyalty is stepped on.

What Do I do ?

Hannie Likes... China and Taiwan :) So the Fanfics I write will mainly go into those categories :D I am not the best at writing and I will disappoint many people if you don't like the style I write in.. I have no style, and I don't follow other writers' way of writing. I just go with what I think is right for me, but I do get inspired by reading other's fanfics and then I go into a whole new world and write one for myself :) Hehehehe... I like to write stories about Taiwanese lovers... Like... The usual love triangle or... the usual school love, puupy love thing. I also like to write stories about superstars and... yeah... I enjoy watching WuXia dramas, but I never attempted writing one. I think that I will now try and attempt to start on a WuXia Fanfiction story :) Please just try it out and see if you like the things I write. If you do, then please follow and keep coming back for updates so I also get the motivation to keep writing :) I hope You enjoy my stories that are to come :)
